All businesses have a range of stakeholders - shareholders, employees, customers, suppliers etc. Increasingly, other external interest groups - NGOs (Non-Governmental Organisations) or CSOs (Civil Society Organisations) - have an interest in and an influence on the way businesses operate. Case studies abound, with the Greenpeace campaign to force Shell to change its plans for disposal of the Brent Spar oil rig being a defining moment in the effect such influence can have.
Having had considerable experience in dealing with a wide range of stakeholders, including CSOs, in the biotechnology sector, we are in an ideal position to help companies manage such relationships sensitively and positively wherever possible.
